National Fire Service Week was observed by Mumbai Fire Brigade to observe homage and Pay respect to the outstanding martyr’s firefighters for their incredible commitment and sacrifice at the Mumbai Dockyard, Victoria Docks fire incident April 14, 1944.
The day began with our Team visiting the Bombay Dockyard Site on the 14th April observing a moment of Silence at Fire Service Memorial, Victoria docks. The Chairman, MBPA paid homage to brave Fire fighters by laying a wreath at Memorial.
We headed towards the MFB Headquarters in Byculla where in the Fire Brigade prayed the Homage to the Martyred brave hearts Firefighters of the Victoria Doc Fire. With an Exclusive display of Band and a display wall with all the Martyred names.
The Event began with the lighting of the lamb and felicitation of the chief guest, Ad. Commissioner & Dy. Commissioner of Greater Mumbai Municipal Corporation, Director MFS, CFO MFB, CFO MPT. and speech by CFO Parab and CFO CICO Mr.Warik followed by some clipings and animation by the Mumbai Fire Brigade to create and educate the public with regards to Fire Safety and combating fires.
The event was then proceeded by Appointment of Fire Personals as Qualified Fire and Life Safety Auditor of Mumbai Fire Brigade. And finally ended by paying a Respect to the workshop and the new Fire Tenders that were introduced by the Mumbai Fire Brigade.
