Every year precious lives are being lost in fire incidents, To avoid or minimise such loss of life and national property and as per the directive of Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, each and every industry and building, institutions need to observe Fire service week in the month of April to spread fire prevention awareness as well as build capability in emergency response preparedness.
APSEZ Fire services observed the National Fire Service Week inside Adani ports plus 02 days for communities (14th to 22nd April,2023) with enthusiasm and dedication in alignment of this year theme of “AWARENESS IN FIRE SAFETY FOR GROWTH OF NATIONAL INFRASTRUTURE (AGNI)
The events conducted during National Fire Service Week were:
During the National Fire Service Week, we carried out 26 events took place and we have connected with more than 2800 persons as well as 927 families during the observance.
Total 23 banner were displayed at Various Locations
As a commemoration of Brave Fire Fighters, we had organized Pinning the national fire services week badges event – Connected with More than 1100 personnel by pinning the NFSW badges.
32 Mundra LPG terminal Operation personnel participated in Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus set Competition.
03 Liquids Terminal Operations staff were trained exclusively for 02 days to be Auxiliary Fire Squad & Emergency Response Team Member.
Online quiz competition for employees and associate staff organized and more than 215 employees and 270 associate staff participated.
Evacuation drill carried out by the building occupants for the occupants life safety at various buildings (AMCT, AICTPL, Sub Station building -1 , West Basin Crew building , MLTPL CCR , PUB 5A2 )
LPG GAS connection Fire Safety Inspection at your door steps carried out at Adani residential Colonies and record break 927 LPG connection inspected by Fire Team.
Awareness created of IMDG labels among 115 container terminal personnel through fire fighters dressed as IMDG label outfitted Models.
Scenario based Fire drill exercised for Liquid Terminal employees conducted to validate employee capabilities.
Tabletop exercise competition for scenario-based emergencies conducted and record break participation observed. Total 13 teams contested comprising of 62 participants for Tabletop exercise.
A renewed Adani Ultimate Fire Fighter Challenge 3.0 event conducted for Non-Professional Fire Fighters Employees and Associate Staff where 18 personnel sweat it out to be Ultimate Non-Professional Fire Fighter
Build Capabilities in Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting of Business Partners industries M/s. Anjani Udyog and M/s. Britannia Industries. Firefighting training provided to more than 100 personnel
Fire Prevention and emergency response training provided to Adani Public School, Nana Kapaya Primary and Calorax Public school Students and Teachers. More than 1600 students and 100 teachers were trained during this drive.
Basic Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting training provided to West Basin staff through the week by West Basin Fire Services.
