World of Safety Expo & Summit 2023: A Comprehensive Review

The “World of Safety Expo & Summit 2023” had a grand opening at the Bombay Exhibition Centre. The event was inaugurated by the Labour Minister, Government of Maharashtra Honb. Mr. Suresh Bhau Khade along with Dr. Prakashraoo Shendge (Om Gagangiri Hospital Occupational Health Services) and Mr. Mukesh Patil (Director Industrial Safety and Health – DISH).

The presentation party was also accompanied by dignitaries from SAMA – Mrs. Wendy Pereira, Mr. Dipesh Shah, Mr. Virendra Johari, Mr. Harsha Joshi, Mr. Rakshit Damani, and almost all Joint and Deputy Directors Industrial Safety Health -DISH/factory inspectors from all across Maharashtra were present during the ceremony. It was a great moment where 1100+ Safety Officers of different work units were present and graced the event.

NESCO Events and SAMA- Safety appliances and manufacturers association, in coordination with Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health, had organized this event “World of Safety Summit Expo.”

The State of Maharashtra was known as the most preferred destination for industrial investments, being the manufacturing hub of India, there is an abundance of skilled manpower and developed industrial infrastructure. Hence, the safety of the efficient workforce was of utmost importance in the industrial sector.

The two-day exhibition and conference on industrial safety solutions and equipment were organized to increase the safety awareness among the workers, safety officers, factory management, and all the stakeholders in the industrial and manufacturing sector. It included exhibitions of various safety-related equipment and a conference on the safety of the workforce in the industrial sector. “The Meghaji Lokhande Industrial Safety Award,” by the Government of Maharashtra, was also distributed to selected factories.

This two-day program aimed to introduce new technologies, information, equipment, and best practices in the field of industrial safety to achieve the goal of ‘Zero Accident‘ by bringing all stakeholders under one roof to create a sustainable and safe environment in the industrial sector of Maharashtra.
