The success game continues for Fire India!

fire-india-logoFire India 2016, held at the Chennai trade Centre on 21st- 22nd September 2016 received an overwhelming response from visitors and exhibitors surpassing all expectations.

Spread over an area of 4400 sq. mt., the show gained a participation from 90+ exhibitors, majority of participants were from India and rest from across the globe (China, U.S., U.K., U.A.E, Netherlands and Singapore). A product range of firefighting equipment, fire vehicles & ancillary equipment, passive and active fire protection was displayed and demonstrated at the show.

Encouraging the event further, notable fire associations – IFE (I) [Institution of Fire Engineers] and FSREMA along with chief fire departments – Telangana State Fire, Telangana State Disaster Response and Fire Services, Maharashtra Fire Services and the Mumbai Fire Services and Tamil Nadu Fire & Rescue Services department (the second largest Fire station in India)& Delhi Fire Services rendered full support.

Mr. R. Nataraja, current MLA of Tamil Nadu Government and former chairman of the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, graced the show as the chief guest. His support marked a milestone for the next edition of Fire India – such support from renowned leaders and organizations further drive the purpose of exhibitions like Fire India as it helps in pushing further the growth and future of the unorganized fire industry to a reach its maximum potential.

A salient feature to the success of Fire India Chennai was yet another successful Conference organized by Institution of Fire Engineers which has proved itself over the years to be one of the most sort out Fire Conference to be held in India. IFE (I) is dedicated to the cause of fire engineers and fire engineering solutions. The conference being one of the main high points of show was held on “Fire and Safety – Changing concepts” which was very well received and appreciated by visitors and exhibitors. Mr. US Chillar, General Secretary of IFE (I) stated that he was pleased with the response that the event had got and this kind of encouragement provides fuel to do even better in next Mumbai edition.

Matchmaking program, altogether a new concept for India and Fire & Safety Industry, was introduced for the first time for Fire India 2016 Chennai. This new interactive platform helped exhibitors, visitors and delegates pre schedule meetings with each other during the days of show. Success of matchmaking was announced through 112 pre scheduled meetings at Fire India Chennai.

“As a result of 2 very successful shows in 2015 & 2016, we've received an overwhelming response and have already booked 70% space for FIRE INDIA 2017 to be held from 7th – 9th September 2017 in Mumbai at Bombay Exhibition Centre” – Mr. Sandeep Gurwara, Managing Director of Reed SI Exhibitions, expressed his delight and pleasure towards the positive exhibitor and visitor acknowledgment received at the show.

Visitor footfall was a massive response reaching up to 4438 for the two-day exhibition. It included profiles of fire consultants, chief fire officers, security officers representing crucial sectors of the country: Pharmaceuticals, healthcare, hospitality, IT etc.

“The show had an overwhelming response for both the days and certainly proved the sceptical group wrong that even Chennai would pull the quality crowd if the event is planned and executed well. Need to make special mention that excellent foot fall happened not only from the local visitors but also visitors from Mumbai, Hyderabad, etc. Even had some prospective overseas visitors like from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.”

The two-day exhibition ended on a happy note on 22nd September evening. The next edition of Fire India is scheduled from 7th-9th September 2017, at Bombay Exhibition Centre.
