The Institution of Fire Engineers (India) has again ventured to organize the 12th edition in series of International Conferences & Exhibitions with new flavor of topical issue and technologies. The conference will be organized from 7th to 9th September'2017 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon, Mumbai, India.
The Institution of Fire Engineers (India) was established on the recommendations of the standing Fire Advisory Council constituted by the Chiefs of Fire Services in India and headed by Directorate General, National Disaster Response Force and Civil Defence, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India. The Institution was founded in the year 1973 as a premier non-government organization (NGO) and professional body registered under the Societies Act, 1860 as resolved in one of the meeting held under the Chairmanship of the then Dy. In order to meet one of its objectives the Institution is striving continuously to spread the knowledge in the field of Fire & Life Safety Engineering sciences through organizing National / International conferences & exhibitions and Seminars thus bringing all professionals connected with Fire & Life Safety and Disaster Management/Mitigation on a single platform so as to form collective opinion on subjects related to Fire Prevention, Fire Protection, Fire Fighting, Rescue & Disaster Mitigation with adoption of latest available technologies & developments.
The aims & objectives of the Institution of Fire Engineers (India) are to promote, foster, enhance and augment the science, practice and business of Fire Extinguishment, Fire Prevention, Fire Engineering and all functions connected therewith. It is engaged in educating professional Fire Service Officers and conducts Graduateship Examination in Fire Engineering Sciences.
The theme of the “Fire India '2017” conference & exhibition is “Fire & Life Safety Challenges with Modern Built Environments”. “आधुनिक निर्मित परिवेशों के साथ आग और जीवन सुरक्षा चुनौतियां”. The Conference will cover a wide range of important topics in the field of Fire Engineering Science. The conference will be spreaded over in 6 Technical Sessions.
