When we speak of Fire and safety, it refers to various methods, precautions and training that’s undertaken to prevent a fire, control a fire and work to minimize loss of life and property. Fire safety is a vital part of every building that’s constructed. Usually the rules differ from country or region based on types of building like homes, commercial spaces or factories where combustible fuel is stored. Threat to fire safety is termed as fire hazard. It refers to a situation where chances of a place catching fire are high or a place where it’s easy for the fire to spread once started and difficult to extinguish due to lack of proper safety measures. Fire protection engineers work for an important purpose: to protect the environment, property, and most importantly, people, from the dangers of fire. This makes becoming a fire protection engineer a high-risk career choice. Fire is, and has always been a good servant but a very bad master. Fire remains a danger that can impact entire communities, countries and continents. Each year , many people around the world die and huge monetary losses are incurred due to fire accidents. The use of modern equipment and newer technologies continue to be the life blood of fire safety efforts globally, but even so fire accidents still do happen and this remains a constant challenge for mankind. The one force that stands between the death and destruction of fire and you, is that brave fireman who risks everything, including his life, so that you are protected.
